There is a world of opportunity out there for you. Are you taking advantage of it or waiting for dollars to fall from the sky?

Everyday you see the newest products come out to help you make money. You can read the info and watch the dvds, but nothing happens if you don’t do the work.

Lets take Real Estate as an example. There are a ton of how to make money in real estate course on the market. The real estate gurus are too many to name. Every course or seminar has a different twist. They all claim to be the golden key to your fortune.

So what happens you get excited and you charge $3,000 to your credit card for the real estate guru x dvd course. You just know in your gut this is the one that will finally work for you. They explained how simple it was.

There are 3 types of people that buy this product.

Person A:

You impatiently wait for it to arrive just like waiting for Christmas as a kid. At last it arrives. You take it home and rip open the box. 20 dvds. Oh no that’s a lot of work. I don’t have time to watch 20 dvds. I thought this was supposed to be easy. I have to work, take care of the house, pick up the kids, I have appointments, etc.

You decide it was a waste of money and return it.

Solution:

Folks everything takes time to learn. Our education does not end when we get out of school. It’s up to you to make the time to watch the dvds and learn the program. You are shooting yourself in the foot before you even get started.

Person B:

You are a step above the type A person. You buy the dvds, take them home and find the time to watch them. An hour here and there when you have free time. You take the time to turn off the tv and turn down the unnecessary outing. There will be other outings. Your future is more important.

Ok you have now finished the dvds, but are not happy. This is actually going to take some leg work. You need to scout the properties, find the leads, spend money on  direct mailing etc.

So you decide it is a scam and return the dvds for a refund.

Solution:

Start small but get started. Have your spouse, partner or a friend help you get started. Take the first steps and put the course into action.
Person C:

This is where we all should be. You by the dvds, you watch them, you start implementing the steps in the dvds and you work your way to your first real estate deal.

My advice to get closer to being like person C. Do some research before you buy the latest and greatest course. Make sure it is something you would enjoy doing. Talk to others who are successful in that niche. Pick their brains. Ask them what it took for them to be successful.

To further the Real Estate example their are local real esate investing groups that meet. This is a good way to get your feet wet and meet people who are already doing it!
