JV Partner Mistakes Part One

Partnering with other business owners is one of the best ways to build your business. You can gain a tremendous amount of exposure for your products. It’s a great traffic generator. However before you jump in I want you to think about a few things.

A few months ago I purchased a product that was put out by two people. One is fairly well known in the Internet Marketing arena. The other is someone you probably had not heard of before then.

At the time I printed out the ebook portion. However after reviewing it I realized it was similar to something else I had just done. So I did not want to go through the process. I put it aside till later.

The other day I decided to take it out and go through it. Well turns out I should have gone through it when I bought it. The links to the additional info in the ebook were all dead.

All the sites for the unknown marketer were gone. I emailed the well known marketer to see what had happened. Just in case I could still get the info.

It turns out they had a problem with the unknown marketer. Which it what I figured had happened. So they had no way to get the extra files, etc.

Now we come to the first lesson.

What mistakes did the well known marketer make? They let the unknown marketer host all the files on their sever. They let them have the ebook files and so forth. Not a good move.

I’m sure a lot of time and effort went into the project. Now all that hard work is lost for the marketer. Not only do they not have access to the product, but I’m sure some people were not happy with them.

Folks make sure you have a level of control over your joint projects. You don’t want to loose your work and loose customers!
