I had some friends come over to help me with a project on Thursday.

We had to drive to Tustin to pick up something at their house. This started the adventure. Traffic was already backing up on the

freeway so we exited in Irvine to take surface streets. There were quite a few cops parked along the streets. Then my friend notices a

helicopter flying overhead. Oops something had gone down.

We drive another block and I ask him to pull into the Starbucks as I felt like a mocha boost. Apparently I made a good choice. It so

happened to be the place of action. About an hour earlier some guy robbed the Kohls Jewelry Dept in the same plaza. So the cops

were blocking entrance to the store. At the time I of course did not know what happened, except simple deduction most likely an

armed robbery. And figured I might as well get my coffee. As the robbery had already happened and I doubted the guy was hiding out

at Starbucks. It turns out they had phoned all residents of Irvine to stay inside. They found the guy later about a block over from the

Starbucks/Kohls.

After that we head over and pick up the stuff and headed back to my house. After some more errands I direct him to the gas station so

I can pay for his gas for helping me out. I again pick the gas station as he was headed to another one around the corner. Big mistake #2

of the day. We finally get a pump and our other friend goes to use the restroom inside. I follow to see if they have the gum I like. No

luck so I am about to head back to car. I then hear yelling outside. I go outside and there are some gang bangers now fighting in the

middle of the gas station.

Everyone’s watching and I’m wondering if I should go back to get my friend inside or wait till they leave. Not knowing if anyone has a

gun or knife. I stay calm and head back to the car for now.

They soon edge closer to our gas pump area. My friend is done pumping gas, but we have to wait for our other friend who has not

come back from the restroom. So I told him to start the car and we get in and wait as I pray for them to peacefully go away. Luckily

they all do a few minutes later without incident. Our friend comes out and we take off. It turns out she was hiding out in the bathroom.

She thought the place was being robbed. She heard the gas station manager talking fearfully on the phone in another language and him

slamming or opening drawers frantically. Plus the yelling from outside. Luckily it all turned out ok.

I sure had a bad Law of Attraction day. And yes it was my fault as I picked both locations. I’m not sure why I attracted it. Yet all in all

it turned out fine, just a little warning I guess. Remember to stay calm if you’re ever in a situation like this. Panic or fear only triggers the

bad guys. Staying calm and listening to your gut on how to react is important. It’s always worked for me when I needed it.
